Since its founding in 1971, The Maiman Company has been a respected manufacturer of architectural stile and rail wood doors and has become a leader in the industry regarding technology and innovation. After Tim and Jane Bennett bought the company in 1990, the company invented the 90-minute fire-rated classic stile and rail wood door in the mid-1990s. Through devotion to research and development, The Maiman Company built what is possibly the most technologically advanced door manufacturing facility in 1996. Maiman employees designed the plant, from the custom machining equipment to the production line layout. As a result of this continued innovation and constant improvement, The Maiman Company was awarded the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce Manufacturer of the Year for 2001.
