Bebops

Bebops was formed in 1995 by Pete and Teresa Witt after their own project led them to the realization that there quality hot rod parts were harder to find than they hoped. Pete took to making his own molds and they found themselves in business shortly after. They now offer more than a dozen body styles and a full catalog of hot rod parts and accessories.

BeBops is actually more of an "out of the ashes" story. Pete and Teresa owned a custom body and paint shop in Tennessee, their fiberglass business started in the basement of their house as a way to get more involved in the car shows they were already attending. They bought a single mold, and started making a car. It was a simple 29 Roadster and a trailer to match. Then they would take the car body to a show and would find a buyer... they did this several times over and soon the requests for their body grew, and they were able to buy a few more molds. they had bought several and soon the smell of the fiberglass was too much for their house to handle. They were forced to move the manufacturing of the bodies to their body shop. Not long after the move a house fire took their molds and several cars in their basement up in smoke. Pete and Teresa were away at a car show when the house went a flame. After losing so many molds, most would have given up, not Pete and Teresa... They bought several fender molds and rebuilt. They also bought out American Street Rods not long after that, giving them a national presence and a renewed vigor for the hot rod culture.

Bebops currently manufactures over 100 bodies a year, Employs 12 very hard working staff members, and with a complete lineup of hot rod parts and accessories, has garnished a reputation for quality and value in the industry. BeBops has over a dozen car and bodies to choose from with more to come. Pete has started several cars since the fire, but never seems to get any complete, He is an award winning designer and builder with countless magizine and web articles written on his projects and that never goes un-noticed. He has received offers on every car he has started and ends up selling them before he can even complete them. He knows the new owners will love their rides as much as he loves building them.

One quick tour around the BeBops website will be enough for you to know these people love what they do, and they can't wait to help you on your way to Hot Rod Heaven.
