Universal Industrial Gases (UIG) is a USA-based, world-wide supplier of industrial gases production equipment, together with related engineering, installation and startup services. Founded in 1992, UIG provides custom-engineered industrial gas production plants to customers throughout the world.
UIG designs, manufactures and supplies air separation plants which produce nitrogen, oxygen and argon as gases and liquids. UIG also supplies carbon dioxide plants to recover and liquefy CO2 contained in waste or byproduct gas streams produced by industrial processes or natural gas processing plants.
Universal Cryo Gas (UCG), a UIG affiliate, supplies on-site-produced gases to customers. UCG was established in 2005 to serve North American industrial gas users which have product demand high enough that on-site production is more economical than vaporization of bulk liquid products. UCG serves users which prefer to purchase gaseous oxygen and/ or nitrogen requirements under long-term, utility-like contracts instead of purchasing, owning and operating a nitrogen or oxygen production plant that would provide the products they need.
