Toolsforless.com was established online in April of 1996 by, then parent corporation, Portland Welding Supply. PWS was a family owned and operated corporation which was formed in 1946 in southern Maine. PWS had 9 retail store locations in Maine and New Hampshire still known today as Advantage Gases and Tools.
In January of 2008, Toolsforless, and Advantage Gases & Tools proudly joined the Valley National Gases family of stores.
In April of 2009, Valley National Gases became a division of Matheson Tri-Gas. MTG pioneered the commercial supply of specialty gases over 80 years ago, and today is the industry’s leading provider of solutions for customers using gas in their labs, fabs, plants, processes, and numerous other areas.
Toolsforless is proud of the commitment Valley National Gases and Matheson Tri-Gas have made to its online retail store division and we are committed to caring for our online shoppers with periodic newsletters, an inventory of more than 80,000 items, dedicated customer service, competitive price scouting, and ongoing website development to improve the look and feel of the website as well as to address any errors that may occur.
