Wallace Machine was incorporated in 1947 by Bill Mackenrot and it began operations as a general machine shop. As such it made conveyors, shafting and did general machining. With the early acquisition of gear cutters, it then focused on the manufacture of industrial sprockets and spur gears. Over the years the company expanded production facilities to the current 15,000 square foot factory in the City of Vancouver.
The growth of the company paralleled the growth of the forestry industry in Western Canada, and as well provides sprockets and machined parts to a variety of industries across Canada.
