General Rubber & Plastics, Inc. was founded in 1948 in Louisville, Kentucky. General Rubber & Plastics, Inc. is one of the largest industrial distributing companies in the state of Kentucky. Since 1948, 10 other locations have been added to the growing organization throughout the state, Indiana, Tennessee, Alabama, and Texas. There are two home offices for General Rubber & Plastics; one in Louisville and the other in Lexington.
The Lexington Branch was started in 1978. Since opening its doors in 1978, General Rubber & Plastics, Inc. has expanded within Kentucky with physical locations in London and Florence. In July of 2003, the company opened a facility in Huntsville, Alabama. The fifth location was opened in San Antonio, Texas in the spring of 2006.
General Rubber & Plastics, Inc. services all small, medium, and large manufacturers. We pride ourselves on our quality of products, dependable service, valued expertise, and competitive pricing. We have a dedicated sales team that is out in field everyday to provide problem solving and solutions to our customers. One of the largest industries we service is the Automotive Manufacturing Industry. The Automotive sales team calls on several automotive facilities across the United States and Canada. They provide indirect/direct products, as well as focus on kaizen "continuous improvements" opportunities within each plant.
