Triangle Rubber Company was founded in late 1950 by Charles and Frances Gerwels. Charles Gerwels received his B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Dayton in 1938. His rubber experience started at Premier Rubber Company in Dayton, Ohio as a chemist, supporting processing and quality control. In 1942 he joined the army and acheived the rank of Captain during WWII. His assignment was in the rubber testing and development laboratory at Edgewood Arsenal in Maryland.
Triangle Rubber Company uses it's Design and R&D capabilities to develop solutions to customer problems.
Triangle uses AutoCad R14 to design tooling for customer supplied drawings. It is also used to make design recommendations for our customers. We can accept information in many formats, such as CD's, tapes, disc and zip drives. We also pull customer part information directly from e-mails or FTP.
Prior to starting any tooling, our design team, made up of staff from all process levels, reviews the tool design as well as part design. Part design is reviewed as to its function, moldability, and downline processing, as well as material fitness for use.
