Do you often search for articles and other electronic content at Web sites such as WorldCat.org or ERIC (www.eric.ed.gov)? When you do this from a library workstation or another on-campus location, you can usually link from search-result citations at these sites right to article full text, abstracts or other online information to which your library subscribes.
When you're not on the campus network, however, you no longer have access to the library's "link resolver" (also known as a "link server"). This resolver recognizes bibliographic and other data embedded in the link you have clicked, then connects you to appropriate online resources at the library. The OpenURL Resolver for Individuals lets you restore access to library resources.
Create a free account and supply the information outlined below. You'll instantly create an association between your off-campus Internet connection and the library's resolver via the OCLC OpenURL Gateway. (To access library services, you may still have to enter your library card ID or use a virtual private network.)
